All in all, while Mill's ethical theory does have it's shortcomings, I feel as if my personal beliefs are much more in line with his theory of utilitarianism. It takes into account the concepts of pleasure and pain into making a moral decision, which, for better or worse, is an intrinsic part of life, as far as I am concerned.
