Bob, believe this is a grinder for sharpening single lip cutters. D-bit type cutters. Not very adaptable for doing end mills or drill bits. Good for sharpening engraving slingle lip cutters. Have one similar if not the same as this one and the only thing have used it for is making or sharpening the small D-bit cutters used for engraving.

What you have there is a single lip cutter grinder, not an universal. It was designed for engraving tools. It lacks one degree of freedom in movement to properly grind the end of an end mill. You can't add the 1/2 degree relief in the edge from od to center and as others have said, you can't do the spiral od.

These grinders are intended for sharpening single cutting edge engraving cutters with V type points and radius corners mainly and not particularly suited for end mill sharpening; my guess is that you would be disappointed with it's utility.
