Unlike in WoW Classic, grinding is a poor option in TBC Classic for leveling. There are more than enough quests in Outlands to get you from Level 60-70, and grinding just is not worth it compared to questing in the zones. You could grind mobs if you choose to, but it is not recommended.

I dont know how much raw gold slave pens farm makes. But in classic wow instance farming with mage does not make as much raw gold as you would think. It only really becomes worth it when you are selling boosts. For example maraudon solo farming is on my realm 50-80g per hour with everything included (cloth vendor etc).

Spellcleave (or spell cleave) is a comp/leveling method which emerged during the Classic WoW beta and became widespread shortly after launch. The idea is to pull a large pack of trash mobs and AoE them down before going out of mana (oom). Rinse and repeat. It's an efficient way to level by all means.

Because it will be a good excuse to legitimize the level 70 boost that will be added later on. Speaking from 17 years of WoW and 30 years of overall MMO gaming experience. Never fails me.
