Sharp LMV-42 Vertical Knee Mill. The Sharp LMV is an ideal milling machine for most shops. All machines can be fitted with after market 2 or 3 axis Digital Readout Systems (Acu-Rite, Newall, Mitutoyo, or Fagor) or a 2 or 3 axis Acu-Rite Millpwr system. To dissipate heat in the 3 HP motor driven head, a pair of high output fans is installed.

We got the ok for around $10,000 purchase price and are looking for a Bridgeport style vertical mill. Hoping to stay around $11,000 with a X power feed and 2 axis digital readout. I only mention those 2 because they are local but am up to other suggestions. The Acer is a little cheaper than the Sharp at this dealer.
